Paying down debt: February 2016

Well I haven't posted monthly progress like I wanted to, but here is an update!
So far we've stayed on track with our plan for how much we pay each month towards each debt. I'm happy to report that we are ahead on our payments, and we are planning to keep it that way.

February 15th-20th - stock up deals (like 14oz boxes of cereal for $0.19 each)

There are some really great deals going on this week, a few of them you can get without couponing at all, and some of them you NEED to use both coupons and rebates in order to cash in on them.

Firstly, Ridley's has boneless skinless chicken on sale this week for $1.37/lb. For the record, this is the cheapest I have seen chicken get since I started frugal shopping almost a year ago. You can normally buy chicken for $1.99/lb at Walmart, or $1.97/lb at Winco. But we eat a lot of chicken in our house, and that $0.60/lb difference adds up really quickly. I will DEFINITELY be stocking my freezer this week!

"Well played" said the cashier (February deals I've cashed in on so far)

It's been a while since I've posted! Sorry about that, we've been busy getting ready for a baby (I'm due in less than 2 weeks).

Last week there were a few good deals that I cashed in on, one of them being Laundry Detergent from either RiteAid or Walgreens for $0.99.  The last time I saw it that cheap was in July, so I got as many as I had coupons for.  Both RiteAid and Walgreens had Arm&Hammer laundry detergent (50oz) on sale for $1.99. There was a coupon in last Sunday's paper for $1.00 off 1 Arm&Hammer laundry
